Desrochers Oil is a locally owned and operated business. In 1960, Gerry Desrochers, started up Desrochers Oil. At that time he had a successful paving business and wanted to start a business to keep his summer staff employed year round: and so Desrochers Oil was born.
In 1970, his son Dennis took over the family oil business. Dennis has grown the business by providing excellent customer service and offering competitive prices to our valued customers in the Biddeford area. In 2010, Dennis passed the family business down to his son, Shawn, who continues to work with his father on a daily basis and is keeping the family business going with continued appreciation for both current and new customers.
In addition, in May 2014 we purchased Vadnais Oil which has been in business since 1932 off Paul, Connie, and Claudette Vadnais. Paul decided to still work with us which we were very lucky to gain someone with so much experience in the oil industry.
In July 2018, we purchased Gil’s Oil service from Gils Fecteau who started the business in 1974. The purchase of Gil’s oil service provided us with customers, a bulk plant, and an office at 18 Barra Rd. Biddeford, ME.
